Environmental Flow Assessment for the Uilkraals Estuary

This study was commissioned to determine the Ecological Reserve for the Uilkraals estuary, which entails following a set of procedures to determine the Present Ecological Status (health state), the Recommended Ecological Category (the future state of health) and the quantity and quality of freshwater inflows and other conditions required to maintain this. The analysis involved estimating the characteristics of the system in its original condition as well us under a range of potential future scenarios.
